Online poker room Party Poker has announced its first ever women's poker tournament in Europe. The PartyPoker Women's World Open will take place in London between the 7th and 10th of August. The line up will include American poker pro Liz Lieu, and WSOP bracelet holder and Academy Award nominated actress Jennifer Tilly. American Pie star Shannon Elizabeth, who made the final four of the NBC Heads-Up Championship in the US, will play as well as commentate along with Jesse May.
European players will include poker pro Xuyen "Bad Girl" Pham, PartyPoker World Open winner Pippa Flanders, Jackie Meecham the European Ladies champion, as well as Jackie Vaswani, Deborah Rogers, and Katharine Hartree.
The tournament will feature 36 players, a $108,000 prize-fund, and a $50,000 first prize. The buy-in for the tournament is set at $3,000.
