Harrah's Entertainment is launching an international version of their prestigious poker tournament, the World Series of Poker Europe. The tournament is planned become an annual event, like the original WSOP that has been running in Las Vegas for the last 38 years. Registration to WSOP Europe 2007 is open to players from all over the world.
The first European WSOP will take place in London September 6-16, 2007, at the Fifty, Leicester Square and the Sportsman casinos operated by London Clubs International. The first event planned is a three-day, £2,500 HORSE event, followed by a £5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, and the main event - a six-day, £10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Championship. Offline satellites will be available at London, Manchester, Nottingham, Southend and Brighton.
