Poker pro Tony G, the winner of the Betfair
Asian Poker Tour, announced that he will give half of his $451,700 winnings to
Asian and Australian charities. Joshua Ang, a local Singaporean player, took the
second place and won $233,200. The final hand was all-in after the flop, and Ang’s
ace-jack failed to beat ten-six after Tony G hit a ten on the flop. The Betfair
Asian Poker Tour, the first major televised live tournament in Singapore, will
be back again at the same period next year.
