PartyGammon announces that the recently opened first ever million dollar backgammon tournament will have a total prize pool of over $1.2 million with over $600,000 for the first prize winner. Players could qualify online with satellites starting at $2.50, and win a $12,500 package covering the $10,000 buy-in for the main event, a 5-night stay in the Atlantis Grand Ballroom resort, and $800 travel expenses.
The main event will take place on on January 25 2007. Betting site PartyBets now offers lines on the participants of the tournament, marking the Danish Sander Lyloff and Henrik Veje as favorites.
