The winner of online poker room Everest
Poker's qualifiers for the 2006 WPT was ranked at top 100 and raked $44,000.
Everest Poker sent the two winners of the qualifiers – a 22 year old French
player nicknamed Go-juge, and 23 year old Italian Nicola82. Both players started
their voyage to Vegas with no more than $5 buy in. After playing 600 contenders
from around the world, both players won Everest Poker WPT packages including travel
and living expenses, and tournament buy-in fee of $25,000. The 2006 WPT first
prize was close to 4 million dollar.
The tournament was opened on April 18 and both players got the chance to play
with champions and poker legends. Nicola82 left the tournament after two days,
but Go-juge managed to enter the top 100, at the 75th place, and took home $44,000.
Everest Poker is currently holding qualifiers to additional world poker events
such as Barcelona's Heads Up, WSOP, Legends of Poker tournament, the WPT at
Paris, and more. New players receive $100 bonus, no deposit required.
