A Glossary of Craps terms, throws, and betting options.
Shooter- The player whose turn it is to throw the dice.
Box man- The dealer in the craps game.
Come out roll- The first roll of the dices in each round.
Out 7- A 7 rolled after the point is already set (that is not
during a come out roll).
Point- The number that was rolled during the come out roll (must
be 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10). In a pass line bet repeating the point results in winning.
In a don't pass line bet repeating the point means loosing.
Betting Options
Pass line- The craps table feature a pass line bar. You can place
a pass line bet by clicking on this bar.
Pass Line Bet- Betting that the point will be repeated before
an out 7 will be rolled.
Win odds are 1:1.
Bets must be placed before the come out roll.
Bets can't be remove or reduced till the end of the round.
Don't Pass line- The opposite bet of a pass line bet.
Betting that the point will not be repeated before an out 7.

Come Point- Applies to come bets only. The first number (must
be 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) rolled after joining an ongoing game.
Come Bet- Placed after the come out roll, on the COME bar printed
on the table.
Betting that the come point will be repeated before an out 7.
Odds 1:1.
Bet can't be remove or reduced until an out 7 or the come point is rolled.
Don't Come Bet- The opposite of a come bet. All procedures are the same
as come bet except you place the bet on the DON'T COME bar. Wins are 1:1.
Bets can't be removed or reduced until an out 7 or the come point is rolled. If the original point (rolled at the come out roll) is rolled you may remove your bet.
Odds Bet- Doubling your initial Pass Line/Don't Pass Line/ Come/
Don't Come bets.
Field Bet- Betting on 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12.
Hi-Lo- Betting that the next roll will be a 2 or 12.
Hope Bet- One roll bet on a specific combination.
Hoping Hardway- A hope bet at 2:2 odds.
Hard Way- Betting that a certain hard combination of doubles
will be rolled before an out 7 or an easy combination. (a hard 4 equals two 2's,
while an easy 4 equals 1 and 3).
Aces- Betting that the next roll will be the total sum of 2.
Any Seven- Betting that the next roll will be 7.
Any Craps- Betting that the next roll will be 2, 3, or 12.
Big Six- Betting that a 6 will be rolled before an out 7.
Big Eight- Betting that an 8 will be rolled before an out 7.
Horn Bet- Betting the same amount on 2, 3, 11 and 12.
Horn High Bet- Splitting the horn bet amount to five parts, placing
two parts on 12 and three parts on 2, 3 and 11.
Place Bet- Betting that 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 will be thrown before
an out 7.
