Beverley Pace from the UK is the winner of the first PartyPoker Women's World Open. Pace has formerly participated in the WSOP and Aussie Millions, and ended up at the sixth place in this year's Ladies European Championship, but this is her first win, taking $50,000. The Women's World Open final event was held and televised at London on the 10th of August. The tournament featured 36 players, a buy-in of $3,000, and a prize-fund of $108,000.
The 50-year-old Pace has been playing poker in pro events for the last four and a half years. She is chairing the Meningitis Research Foundation charity, and married to UK comedian and poker player Norman Pace.
