Being an Affiliate

Casino Affiliate : Being an Affiliate
   Previous Page

For several years now I am managing and marketing a number of gambling sites and have been an affiliate partner of the many prominent gaming websites. Throughout this period, despite of my capabilities, as online casinos became larger, their employees were making smaller salaries, and the affiliate partners’ share stayed pretty much the same.

It is true that there are few opportunities to make money of the internet – I’m not talking about a small allowance you get from placing adSense on your blog – but enough money to start your own company or become self-employed and live well. In online gambling you can earn great in comparison to a US senior hired employee. However it seems that although online gambling is the right field to make money. It’s the casinos that are limiting our potential profit.

As a webmaster well known to most casinos – many pay me commission on a regular basis and some pay for consultation and strategic marketing plan (but nothing beats making money purely as affiliate) -–I came across so many tricks and system to keep us from getting what’s ours. The ways are varied – some are plain fraud, some are “misunderstandings” or “mistakes”, and some pure amateurism.

What all those have in common is the stinginess of casino owners who want to keep all the money to themselves instead of giving an honest share to affiliate partners that work hard to deliver new customers and invest days and nights, and money, to maintain a lucrative business.
How do casinos damage us? Here are some examples:
- Opening new accounts to existing clients
- Opening an account for a new player by the casino itself
- Use of browser that does not enable to track cookies
- Deleting customers from our database
- Canceling commission for existing players after a period without new players
- Ridiculous rules, and terms and conditions impossible to meet
- Low conversion rate due to unprofessional management or staff leading to inability to turn traffic to money

My experience tells that there are two ways to turn from affiliate to millionaire – friends and luck!
Becoming friends or having a personal connection with the casino management allows you to get unique marketing options, access to additional system, real time data, and above all the sense of security that you won’t get tricked and you will be compensated when you’re due.
Having luck means that sometime during 1999 you build a website with a gambling related word in the title and ever since you feel nice and safe in Google’s first page, getting crazy traffic without working too hard.

There is a third way but it’s the least favorite…work 14 hours a day developing marketing models, earn a lot of money and investing it back, and hope that with a little luck you’ll be number one under “casino” in every Google search.

In any case, if you are already in this business – you’re probably in the right place. If you haven’t made your first step yet – I’m not sure you should. If you’ve always believed (as I used to) that the best gamblers online are in the casinos, think again – the real bets are made by you and me, webmasters and casino affiliates.

Yours,
Money Master

The Truth about Casino Rewards - For years I have been striving to discover the truth about different affiliate programs. The affiliate reps would always praise and exalt their sites, guaranteeing that with them you'd be making millions. The affiliate partners tell you they are making money since some are just plain embarrassed to tell the truth, and others consider $1,000 per month a genuine bonanza. It's time to come clean about affiliate partnerships.
